Phase 3 Restart at Peak Resilience: July 1 and beyond

Phase 3 Restart and Peak Resilience: July 1 and beyond.
Although time has lost all meaning, it’s apparently July 2021 and that means that BC will be loosening COVID-19 restrictions again after a really long and tough year.
Although time has lost all meaning, it’s apparently July 2021 and that means that BC will be loosening COVID-19 restrictions again after a really long and tough year.
At Peak Resilience, we’re in the process of shifting our COVID-19 guidelines into more general communicable disease guidelines that will last into the future and provide a healthier work and therapy environment for our community.
So what does this mean for July 1 and beyond?
- Everyone entering the Peak Resilience office will still be required to wear a mask while checking in and waiting for their appointment in our lounge (until further notice).
- For people who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (two doses with at least 14 days since last dose), please chat with your counsellor to determine if you both feel comfortable removing your masks in session.
- We have a no-symptoms rule for counsellors and clients. If you (or your counsellor) have any symptoms of potential communicable diseases such as a slight runny nose, tickly throat, or aches and pains, we will shift your session to virtual to protect our community.
- We’ve kept our hepa filters in each office, we’ll leave plexiglass barriers at the front desk, hand sanitizer available throughout our office, and our cleaning regime will remain the same with each counsellor encouraged to sanitize their workspace before and after they use it.
- Our water and tea station is now open in the waiting room! Please feel free to help yourself to water or tea while you wait for your session.
- We’ll continue to ask our clients to fill out our COVID-19 questionnaire prior to in office sessions until we get further direction.
- Virtual sessions are here to stay! We’ve embraced the convenience of virtual sessions and they have made therapy so much more accessible.
- We are still honouring the needs of our counsellors as our first priority to ensure the best possible care for you. This means that counsellors will determine their own in-office and virtual hours.
We’re interested in what you (our community) think about moving forward and what would make you feel the most comfortable in this nerve wracking time. Please email connect@peak-resilience.com if you have any questions or feedback for us.
